PITE Balochistan, in partnership with Balochistan Rural Support Program (BRSP) and with support from RSPN, has taken a step to help ALP (Adult Literacy Program) teachers in District Panjgur improve their teaching skills and the quality of education in Balochistan. PITE has started a 5-day training program for ALP teachers in subjects like English, Mathematics, Islamiayat, and Urdu. During these 5 days, experienced teachers (MTs) used their skills and modern teaching techniques to provide valuable training. The training covered pedagogical and content knowledge and was very beneficial for the participants. Different teaching methods were used to ensure a comfortable learning environment.
Despite the hot weather, the participants were enthusiastic and found the training venue, materials, and teaching methods interesting. All the training sessions successfully achieved their goals, keeping participants engaged in various activities throughout the day. The training covered all the topics in the manuals, leaving no gaps. Participants were satisfied with the MTs’ performance, as reflected in their feedback.
This training will not only benefit the teachers but also the students. The students will benefit from their teachers’ newly acquired methodologies, strategies, and techniques. The Provincial Institute for Teacher Education (PITE), in collaboration with PRSP, is committed to enhancing the capacity of ALP teachers in pedagogy and content knowledge in subjects like Urdu, English, Islamiyat, and Mathematics. PITE and its faculty are leading the efforts to bring positive changes to the teaching and learning process, ultimately improving students’ attitudes, skills, and knowledge.
PITE Balochistan, in close coordination with its partners BRSP and RSPN, has organized a 5-day capacity-building training for ALP teachers in District Panjgur at GBHS Sordo Panjgur. Faculty members developed the training modules and conducted the 5-day sessions.
