02-day Pedagogy, Multigrade Teaching, Teaching Methodology, Gender Based Violence, Child Safeguarding and referral Mechanism

PITE, with the support of Mercy Corps, has launched an initiative to enhance the professional development of Government School Teachers in Balochistan’s School Education Department (SED). This effort aims to improve the quality of education across the province. As part of this initiative, PITE organized a 2-day training program focused on Pedagogy, Multigrade Teaching, Teaching Methodology, Gender-Based Violence, Child Safeguarding, and Referral Mechanisms. During these sessions, Master Trainers (MTs) utilized their professional skills and modern practices to deliver valuable training. The methodologies and techniques employed were well-received, making the training sessions productive and engaging.

The training, held in favorable weather, benefited from a conducive environment fostered by enthusiastic participants, effective materials, and innovative strategies. All scheduled topics were thoroughly covered, ensuring participants were fully engaged and satisfied with the training. This initiative not only benefits the teachers but also enhances the learning experience for students, as teachers are now equipped with new strategies and techniques.

The Provincial Institute for Teacher Education (PITE), in collaboration with Mercy Corps, is dedicated to improving teacher capacity in areas such as Pedagogy, Multigrade Teaching, Teaching Methodology, Gender-Based Violence, Child Safeguarding, and Referral Mechanisms. This comprehensive capacity-building plan spans from material development to training execution. PITE and its faculty play a leading role in driving change and improving teaching and learning processes. These efforts ultimately enhance students’ learning outcomes, attitudes, skills, and knowledge. Recently, PITE Balochistan, in close coordination with Mercy Corps, conducted a 2-day capacity-building training for teachers in the Quetta district. Faculty members developed modules and executed the training sessions, aiming to bring substantial improvements to the educational landscape.
